The first step in the process of obtaining a student visa is finding a university or college in Canada that you want to attend. There are many options to choose from, including universities, colleges, and language schools. To find a university or college in Canada, you can

Gathering Necessary Documents

 Once accepted to a Canadian university, you will need to gather a few things before you can apply for a Canadian student visa  from Nepal. Here is the document: 

  • Completed student permit application form
  • Academic Certificates
  • Valid passport/travel document
  • The college’s or university’s letter of acceptance
  • Property Valuation
  • A Statement of Purpose (SOP)
  • Source of Income
  • Two current passport-sized photos with your name and birth date on the back are required.

TUITION FEE

When you receive an admission letter, the next step you need to do is  pay  college or university tuition. After paying your tuition, you will receive a receipt from the university. Remember to keep your receipt as you will be asked to present it when you apply for your visa. There are a number of fees involved in the student visa application process. These fees include: 

  • The visa application fee: This fee covers the cost of processing your student visa application. The current visa application fee for Canada is CAD$150.
  • The biometrics fee: If you are required to provide biometrics (fingerprints and a photo) as part of your student visa application, you will need to pay a biometrics fee. The current biometrics fee in Canada is CAD$85.
APPLICATION SUBMIT

Once you receive your acceptance letter  from a college or university in Canada, you need to begin the process of applying for a Canadian student visa. Procedures for applying for a Canadian student visa from Nepal are as follows: 

  • Submit the admission letter you received from your institution or university.
  • Provide a police report stating that you have no prior criminal history.
  • Submit a medical certificate confirming your health to travel and study in Canada.
  • Provide proof of your financial resources to continue your study in Canada. The amount should be sufficient to cover your tuition and living expenses, as well as any other expenses in the case of an emergency.
    Once you have all of the required documents and have paid the fees, you can send in your application for a student visa. You can apply online or in person at a visa application center near you.
  • To apply online: You will need to create an account on the Government of Canada’s immigration website and complete the online application form. You will also need to upload digital copies of your documents and pay the fees online.
  • To apply in person: You will need to make an appointment at the visa application center and bring the required documents with you.
Attend an interview

Depending on your situation, you may need to attend an interview at a visa application center. During the interview, the immigration officer will review your application and ask you questions about your plans to study in Canada. The interview gives immigration officers the opportunity to verify that the information in your application is accurate and that you meet the requirements for a student visa. During the interview, you must be honest and accurate, and you must be willing to talk about your educational and career goals.

After applying for your student visa, you will need to wait for a decision on your application. The time required to process your request will depend on the number of applicants and the complexity of your application. While you wait for a decision, you can check the status of your application online or by contacting the visa application center.

Get your study permit

If your student visa is approved, you will receive a study permit, which is a document that allows you to study in Canada for a specific period of time. WORK PROGRAM

International students who earn a diploma degree from a higher secondary school in Canada can benefit from the government’s work program. This program allows them to work while studying, gaining valuable work experience related to their field of study.

FULL TIME

To work in Canada after graduation, you must apply for a work permit under the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP). PGWPP allows graduates from a Canadian post-secondary institution to gain valuable work experience in Canada. Skilled Canadian work experience gained through PGWPP qualifies graduates for Canadian permanent residence through Express Entry. A work permit under the PGWPP may be issued for the duration of the study program, up to a maximum of three years. The post-graduation work permit cannot be valid longer than the student's study program and the study program must last at least 8 months. For example, if you graduate from a four-year degree program, you may be eligible for a three-year work permit if you meet the criteria. If you graduate from an 8-month certificate program, you will be eligible to apply for a work permit valid for up to 8 months.

PART TIME

What kind of work can you do? There are many different part-time jobs  in industries ranging from hotels to call centers to banking and finance, and more. With some exceptions, it is very unlikely that you will find a part-time job related to your program of study. How many hours can you work? 20 hours per week during study time; 40 hours per week during vacations. Do I need to ask for permission before working? No. About taxes? If you are an international student studying in Canada, you may need to file a Canadian income tax return.
